I have registered a domain name in the .com range: it's terwiel.com.
I have ADSL, and my ISP gave me a fixed IP-address: 213.10.133.192

terwiel.com points neatly to 213.10.133.192.

I'm setting up a network here at home, with a few linux boxes and a
few Windows boxes.

I set up a Linux box as DHCP server/Firewall/Apache (10.0.0.150 and
192.168.0.1) behind an Alcatel Speedtouch modem/router (10.0.0.138).

behind the server are other machines in the 192.168.x.x range and an
Intel printer server.

What should I use as a domain name for the internal net ? terwiel.com
?
or something unmentionable like myhobby.thing.kom ?

thnx
Erik

Erik,

It matters only if you do not use name translation when packages leaf your
network. If you use a domainname translation to the outside world in one of
your routers it is totally upto you.

Kind regards,
