I am currently using Red Hat 9 (kernel 2.4.20-24.9) and can not file share
(SMB) with a Win2k box when I enable vlans on the ethernet interface. I am
using the vconfig utility which I understand is now a part of the linux
kernel. The ethernet card is a 3Com (driver: 3c59x) and works without any
errors (at least none that I know of). The interface is plugged into a
Cisco 2900XL switch and is not set to use vlan1.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this, or if this is currently a bug?

Thanks,

-Ed
