| Hello,
New to the Linux world, so please excuse my ingorance. I have
installed Red Hat v9 on my Dell Latitude C600. Everything works
great, however I can not get the PCMCIA Netgear wireless card to
work. (It did work under the slavery of Gate's) I have also
downloaded drivers from the Netgaer site for RH 7.3.
(Not sure if there's compatiblity to v9)
Few questions:
1. What do I need to do just to see the light flicker on the
wireless card? (Verizon slogan: Make progrss everyday...) This
would just let me see that I have power to the slot and the system
"sees" the card.
2. What will I need to do to actually have the card work?
Any assistance/direction would be great!

You don't mention which Netgear card, I have eventually made a MA401 work
with RH9, it was easier with RH7.3. (not a Dell laptop).
Here are the various online references I used.
http://www.paulgrenyer.co.uk/articl...redhat_9_0.html
http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/
http://prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us/
It requires some module building.
You may have already visited these sites but if not I found them helpful.
Note also after using the redhat up2date feature it stopped working again
and required the modules be recompiled.
