Can private SSH keys be moved to a new computer? Would they need
modification?

I'm pretty sure the other computers that currently share keys with the
old computer will flag the new computer as an alien to them and ask if
you want to replace the old keys with new keys. Happens to me
frequently in the Lab where the same IP address may be occupied by any
one of 16 different machines. ssh/scp operations trip over this, and
require manual assent to the key change.

Not being a security geek, I can't assert that the problem isn't because
of my inept installation.
