Sorry for the repost (in redhat.x.general) but I felt I needed to repost
this to other groups as well as we are pretty stumped!

X has been working fine for ages then all of a sudden, when it starts now I
get:

could not open default cursor font 'cursor'

I tried redhat-config-xfree86 and it says 'Could not start, trying with a
fresh config blah blah blah' which I was hopeful about but then chucks me
back to the console and when I examine /var/log/xfree86.setup.log the error
message at the bottom is again:

could not open default cursor font 'cursor'

It's a mystery why this has all of a sudden started happening, and I have
tried

Gaz.
