| I'm running Fedora Core 1 with XFree 4.3.99.5.
I have an EnergyStar monitor (Viewsonic PF790) on my RH9.0 box.
For a while the monitor goes in to "power-save" just as it should. But,
after a few days, something "unsets" the DPMS setting.
Here are my current XF86Config settings:
First I added 'Option "DPMS"' to the Monitor section (see below):
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
VendorName "Monitor Vendor"
ModelName "ViewSonic PF790"
HorizSync 30.0 - 97.0
VertRefresh 50.0 - 180.0
Option "DPMS"
EndSection
Next, I added:
Section "ServerFlags"
Option "BlankTime" "0"
Option "StandbyTime" "10"
Option "SuspendTime" "20"
Option "OffTime" "30"
EndSection
When I do "xset q" I get:

DPMS (Energy Star):
Standby: 600 Suspend: 1200 Off: 1800
DPMS is Enabled
Monitor is On
<snip>
But after a while, the monitor stops shutting down, and I must manually
enter the "xset dpms 600 1200 1800" command to get it to start working
again.
I should mention, that I stay longed in for days at a time. And
usually, logging out and back on temporarily fixes the problem.
Has anyone seen this?
