We cannot boot into the Linux 9 graphical shell. The system hangs just
after the login prompt. It had been booting fine until one of the video
settings was changed.

Is there anyway to stop the graphical shell from loading, so that we can
change the video settings? Or do we have to re-install the whole system
now?

I think we're hosed.
