Your processor speed is probably OK, but I think your memory is low. I'd
want 256MB at a minimum and preferably still higher for RH9. However, this
depends on which GUI interface you run. The default Gnome for RH9 is
rather demanding of RAM.
If you're in Linux, run "df" (without quotes) at the command prompt to see
how much free space you have on the hard drive(s).

| I installed Redhat 9 (for the hell of it) on a Pentium 100 with 96 MB RAM
and a 6 GB hard drive on my local network. I built it out of old pieces of
computer lying in the basement. I ran X-Windows with GNOME and I ran ftpd
and httpd and I even configured SAMBA. I tested it with client setup and
used it as a server and configured it through TELNET as well.
I hated it. It was slow. Then I went out and bought a used HP-Vectra PIII
600 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 8 GHD for cheap and this is my main local redhat server
with everything installed. Runs fine. I like it for what I need.
I just set it up so I could learn more first hand.
