Hello,

I have a k8nsnxp-939 motherboard with an nforce3 chipset. Both my hardrive and DVD
drive are SATA based. I'm trying to install fedora core 3 via the dvd iso. When
the dvd boots it says it's loading the sata_nv driver as well as some other drivers,
but then it ends up saying there is no devices to install fc3 from and asks me to
specify a driver. Of course the correct driver isn't in the list as it is already
loaded. I have FC2 running perfectly on this machine (albeit with kernel
2.6.5-1.358). I have seen some references to this problem on the web, but no
solutions. I have tried booting with acpi=off and noprobe and selecting the sata_nv
driver manually from the list, but to no avail. The motherboard also has some sil
sata ports on it, unfortunately if I hook both devices to those instead there is no
way to boot from the DVD (the bios doesn't seem to support it).

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Matt
