you may also do this:
1) Boot with a dos diskette with fdisk.on it.

Type "fdisk/mbr"
No feedback, by\ut the mbr (master boot record will be restored.

2) Using the same fdisk, you may delete or reformat as FAT32 or NTFS the
partition(s) that you used for Linux, which were probably ext2 (or 3),
reiser or some other kind, that Windows cannot use.

Note that you may also use a Knoppix bootable CD, and use CFdisk to do most
of this (excepted the mbr restore, unless you save the original mbr on your
disk).
