Bad disk !

If you look at my later post, you'll see that I had a bad disk on my box.
That seem to have caused a corrupted set of gnome config files ! I
reinstalled on a new disk and everything works as expected !

Now I wonder why the install did not see the disk errors in the first place
and warn me about that !
