| hi...
i 've 2 queries:
1. do linux has any Anti-Virus softwares which i can download free
from the web & use for my Fedora system & manage it on daily or weekly
basis like free updating, etc. which can give the same satisfaction as
other famous ant-virus softwares?
2. I'm having an external dial-up modem (56k)...is there something i
can do to increase its performance for a faster connection...'coz my
connection is a slower one? No, i don't want any hardware changes to
my system??

Are you looking for software to scan email traffic going
_through_ your system to block virii that could infect
Losedows systems if it got to one? If so, sorry, I can't
help, but someone else might be able to, if you'll clarify
this is what you're looking for.
Or, are you looking for software to prevent virii from
attacking your Linux system? For most practical purposes,
you don't need to worry about this. Just practice
reasonable care in what software you download and install on
the system, use a non-root account for everything except
system administration tasks, run tripwire regularly, run
ckrootkit (sp?) every once in a while, and keep fairly
current on security updates.

Maybe http://www.clamav.net is for you.
Can scan local files and can be used by an MTA to scan mails.
I use it and I'm happy.
