IBM thinkpad T20
Two nic's, both operating
Wireless nic cardbus working with orinoco drivers
Wired nic minipci combo Intel Etherexpress/100 dri
OS: Fedora Core 1
using redhat-config-network only eth0 is configurated.
Somehow the cards are mixed up in the configuration, the wireless card
is shown as an Intel, but working nevertheless, till I use the wired nic
only. Then after a new startup with the wireless card in place I have to
configure the wireless card anew as such.
What I want is an eth0 and an eth1. One wired and not automatically
activated at startup en one wireless and, when in place, automatically
activated at startup.
Somehow I just can't get things configurated that way. I use the wired
nic only for backups, so I can live with the way things work now.
Nevertheless I would like to configure my network as described above and
I am intrigued as to why I can't get it done. Perhaps it is just a
script that has to be changed manually. Only at that point as former
MS-addict I'm lost.

If someone has suggestions (or perhaps a copy of the script to use) I
would be gratefull to hear.

Willem
