Partion Problem - suggestions sollicited!

Still having problems setting partitions on my RH9 boxed
installation.
Here's what I have: New P4 2.66GHz computer, 1GB RAM, and Maxtor
120GB hard drive, with 89GB partitioned for Windows 2000Pro. 22GB of HD
space is unallocated.
When I start the RH9 Installation procedure, I keep running into
problems right at the start with the Partition setup. After attempting
to set partitions, either automatically, or with Disk Druid, I keep
getting an "Unable to allocate Partitions" message and thus can I can not
proceed with the installation.
All indications are that I do have the unallocated 22GB space
available. Partition Magic shows this too.
Any ideas? I'd rather not install an additional HD, but if I
can't resolve this partition problem, I guess I could get around it this
way.

I resolved my problem. I had too many partitions already on the HD.
Had my C drive primary, and had an un-needed FAT32 partition, but also
had two unallocated space listings, one primary, and one logical. I
deleted the FAT32, and by changing the logical unallocated space to
primary, the two primary unallocated spaces merged. RH9 installation
went like a dream, after that.
Thanks to any who have already responded to my query.
