UpTwoDate Redhat 9.0 ISO Creation

At one time I came across a method to update ISO images so that the
update rpm files could replace those that had become outdated. Thus
doing away with the need to rush to up2date when you build a 9.0 box
from scratch.

Does anyone have any documentation on such a process?
