all

I have 35 Redhat 9 machines I need to build, all are exactly the same
hardware.....on about a dozen will have a software package and the other 23
will have a different software package.

we have a kickstart server that's been used to install OS's in the
past....and then the software packages are loaded the traditional way.

does anyone have a solution to get the software install as part of
kickstart?

can you get a 'gold' image of a Linux drive and Ghost duplicates? I can
purchase a hardware clone maker if needed.....I'm not sure if Linux 'gold'
images can be done like a Windows image can.

thank you..

I have not used Ghost, but for my RHL 8.0 installations, I
cloned a disk from one system to short-cut the building of
another. IIRC, about the only significant thing I had to do
on the destination system was change the IP address and
hostname. (If they're using DHCP, then even that wouldn't
be necessary.)

Good luck.
