Author ftp server for RH V3

I don't see any ftp server for RH linux V3. The older wu-ftpd I tried
to install and the compile failed. Don't need to use any type of secure
connection as I'm in a private network. How to transfer files from
Linux to Windows/NT then?

Thanks,

Frank

Try ncfpt for Linux - do a google search
Alternatively put an enable the ftp server on NT or download an ftp server
for windows and ftp to the server from the linux box - try
http://www.guildftpd.com/index.php nice server with excellent install help

Mind you RD v3? It might be worth thinking about an upgrade - you can get RH
V9 for less than £5 on ebay.

Actually this is their latest and greatest. they are switching from
linux 7-9 to RH WS 2.1-3, totally confusing I know! V3 is the same for
the most part they say to linux 9.

Thanks looked it up that's kind of costly, $200 I just need a simple ftp
server this machine is not used across the net in a private network.

Hmmm....if you insist on FTP server install vsftpd-1.2.0-4.i386.rpm, but
Samba would be a better way.
