I just installed a Archive Python 28454-xxx SCSI tape drive (packed by Sun
Microsystem) to my Redhat 9 system. My scsi card is Adpatec 2940 which seems
working fine.

I can't see this device from linux. when I type:

mt -f /dev/st0 status

it returns: no such device.

I have installed st.o file to kernel using modprobe command.

Please help me.

Best Regards,
SL

The kernel does report that it found the drive in the /var/log/messages
file right? And it reports it at device st0 ?
