Hi Folks,

I just installed Redhat 9 on a celeron mashine 256 MB ram
Xwindows is so crawling slow. what might be the reason ?
I noticed that the HD runnig al the time doing something.

run 'top' cmd and see what processes are hitting the server.
sometimes the 'up2date' process hits a slow computer hard. If you just
'installed' it might be trying to update.
you can kill it and see if the HD settles done.
