Author SCSI inactive / mount camera impossible

OS: Fedora Core 1.92 Test 3
Problem: mounting a digital USB camera (Trust Powerc@m 910) has become
impossible (used to be possible under FC 1, where I could do:
mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/camera)

When I look at the SCSI section in the KDE Control Center, nothing happens
and the interface hangs after a few minutes. The same happens when I try to
mount the camera as described above. There is something wrong with SCSI
support but I don“t know where to correct this.

Help much appreciated,

Patrick
