Hi

I am trying to connect to my Linux box through VNC

When I connect I don't get the desktop I just get some Check Boxes

I know that there is a file where some parameters are commented out. However
I am unable to locate this file.

Please can anyone assist?

Cheers

Geoff

In your home directory there's a hidden folder called ".vnc". Just do
a "cd .vnc" and in that folder theres a file called "xstartup". The
lines you need to uncomment should be marked if you're using Fedora.
But just in case they are:

unset SESSION_MANAGER
exec /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc

Hope it helps
