Hello people. I am trying to install and getting the EM

My system has an XP2600 fitted with 1024mb of RAM (512 recently added)
Fitted a new hard drive today to try and solve this error. I have tried
loads of differnt versions of Linux and they all give me a panic !!
Thanks in advance of any help.
