Hi,

I want to install a newer version of Apache on my test server. At the moment
it has 2.0.40.

I need to install mod_ftpd which requires 2.0.44 or later.

Two questions :-

1) Which version of Apache do you recommend.
2) How do I install Apache properly. I know about 'make install' which
installs it to /usr/local/apache2 but I either want to install relavent
things to relevent places ala the existing Redhat 9 apache instillation or I
want to know how to point redhat 9 at the new instillation.

Many thanks in advance,

Aaron
