Author kernel panic on fc4 install - i865gbf m/b

The box: Intel 865GBF motherboard,P4, 2.4Gz, with memory (512m) in
either, or both banks.
In the past, I have installed various releases of fc on this box. This
time, however, the install dies while booting after the "enter to
install" msg. I pulled a memory stick out so that it wasn't trying to
be smp, and it still choked and panicked, but farther along.. The disks
check out fine when I boot into my other box and test them. I did
change cdrom drives. It *seems* that there is some sort of memory
problem, being accessed down at or near 0x00. The memory is fine, and
problem seems the same with either stick and either bank. Is there an
answerer for this? Some parameter that I could pass?

Thanks for reading.

Sounds like you might need the replacement boot.iso for FC4;

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzill...g.cgi?id=159026

see Comment 17
