Linux Version FC4 Pegasos PPC and Ubuntu
Computer: G3 IMAC Indigo CRT
Video Card: Ati Rage 128 Ultra Pro
Max Resolution: 1024x768 Thousands Of Colors

This is a know problem with Linux and IMAC G3 computers.

When you install with the default setting. Either millions or thousands of
colors. Linux will hang sfter login.

I can manually log in and edit the xorg.conf to reduce the color depth to
256 colors and it runs fine. But soon as I uncrease the color depth to
higher. Can't login and runs realy slow.

Anybody know the fix to allow the Imac with ati chipset to get higher color
depth. as 256 colors don't look that good.
