Hi!

I tried installing Fedora Core 4 yesterday, on a old Compaq Presario
Laptop 1400T. During installation, when the anaconda install program is
loaded, the hardware is probed and it recognizes my mouse, graphics
card, but sets the monitor to unknow. Consequently, once the graphics
portion is loaded, the screen stays black.

I ran through the install in text mode but upon loading Fedora, the
screen goes black and I cannot log in or see anything. I tried hooking
the laptop up to a regular CRT monitor, and the same thing happens.

How can I change my monitor? It worked fine with Red Hat 8.

Also, during the boot up sequence I tells me to pres 'I' for
interactive setup, but whenever I do press i nothing happens.

All and any help is appreciated.

Christian
