Hello there,

I am new to this group ,, but I wanna ask some thing from you. I have
installed and connfigured the NIS on Linux AS3.0 Update 4.

My NIS is working fine on the server. " One thing I wanna clear here
that I don't have NIS slave server. jusr Server and CLient setup."

My NIS database was created properly.

I can see every info from client like " ypcat /etc/hosts"
ypmatch galf passwd

New user creation is also okay on srever but when I try to login on the
client machine with this same user , it allows me login but at console
term or any Xterm it gave me error that passwd.byname ID is not
configured localy. It gave some UID error ont top of any Xterm.

if I copy all the user info on local passwd then it work fine.

Is there any body who can help me to solve this issue.

Thanks & kind regards
Msajeel
