Author sound card any help

Installing Core 4 on dell. Have previously installed RH on system with
problem concerning detecting sound card. Crystal WDM audio. However with
Core 4 system does not recognize sound card. When I run soundcard
detection is get "Audio Devices.. No soundcards were detected".

Sound card is crystal WDM audio

Please show the output for the sound card from the typed command, if your
sound card is built on or a pci card; lspci -v

Else use google; http://www.google.com/linux and type in the search term;
Crystal WDM audio for possible solutions.

So which laptop is this??? It seems to be a bit of an older unit.....

Yup, about 5 to 6 years but as I said, the soundboard worked with linux
previously. The page you listed is the page I got the lsmod output idea.
