iis 6.0 Iuser_MACHINENAME login won't work after 12 hours

I have installed a windows 2003 server and have IIS
working on it. I have a web site hosted on that site,
which works fine for the first 12 hours after I restart
IIS server. then afterwards it asks for an authentication
for people trying to hit the site.
So I restart IIS again the next day morning it works.
after hours it goes down again.. any suggesstions..
