FTP IIS 5.0 - Authentication Problem

| Hi Folks,
My Scenario
-----------
W2k SP4, last patches applied, running just IIS (WEB,=20
FTP, SMTP) for customers.
It=B4s work well.
My Problem
-----------
I=B4ve created several accounts.
During the IIS ftp process validation , My customers are=20
getting the following error:=20
"The name server or address could not be resolved"
The connection is ok=20
The DNS is ok
The Account exists
The password is correct
if I try with cuteftp, it work well, but with IE it wont.
if I change the user and password to 7 characters, it=20
work.
"Some accounts grater that 8 characters with password=20
grater 8 characters"
I=B4m using IE 6.

I changed password to abcdefghijk and is worked.
So, I conclude that the following user and password=20
are not compatible:
hithi
hit!@#2004
