IIS 5.1 Server 500 Error (2)
|
|
|
| Hi.
My IIS 5.1 webs server on my WinXP pro has stopped working for no reason.
I looked for a solution on the internet and found several articles
suggesting that I needed to un- and re- install IIS or/and ASP.NET ...and I
tried uninstalling and reinstalling both IIS and ASP.NET 1.1 but nothing
happened. Even tried to make sure that anonymous access was allowed, etc
but still nothing.
Full error from event viewer is:

| You need to post this to the COM+ Group. Without com working, IIS won't
function correctly.
As a temporary fix, try dropping the application pool protection to low in
IIS.
