IIS Admin Service Won't Start

| I cant make my IIS Service to start , I have Windows XP SP2 i have this
error in event log
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7023
Date: 11/26/2004
Time: 1:59:59 PM
User: N/A
Computer: RAEDPC
Description:
The IIS Admin service terminated with the following error:
The data is invalid.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
I review the EventID in www.eventid.net but did not get the correct fix .
what shall I do ?

| if you have metabase backup, try restore it.
it looks like metabase issue here.
