| I know that 2000 Server comes with IIS version 5.0 by default.
I have a 2000 Server that was upgraded from NT by another systems admin and
clicking Help: About is not an option. Is there a command line tool or
simple way to detect what version of IIS is installed on a 2000 Server?
(In XP I can click Help: About Internet Information Services.)

| Hi,
Go to http://aboutmydns.com and run the Quick test. It will tell you the version of your server

| 2000 Server is always IIS 5.0, even if it is upgraded from NT 4.0
likewise, XP is always 5.1 and 2003 is always 6.0

idserve there, is an application that will identify any http server
on the Internet or on your intranet. Very handy utility.
I'm sure there's some way to pull it out of an http header as
well.
And the Request.ServerVariables("SERVER_SOFTWARE")
might get you there as well.
