I have a website registered that points to webserver1. On websrerver1website
iput a link to my exchange email site with an internal IP. When I am in side
my lan I click on it and it opens the outlook web. When I click on it from
an external computer located outside my lan I get a website not available.

What am I doing wrong, am I missing something with dns , should I register
else with my isp.

Any Input would be appriciated.

How do you expect your internal IP to be available outside of the LAN?

that's why...you can't access an internal IP outside the lan. You need an
external IP for your exchange email site.

I understand that Icant get my private IP outside the lan, I did put my
external address and that still does not work. I dont't know if this makes a
difference but I only have one external IP from My ISP and have it on my
router within that router I have port forwarding setup.

Thanks

Then it's likely a port forwarding issue. Does your external web site
use the same IP? Have you properly configured your router to
translate the addresses and ports? (That's not something we can tell
you how to do, it depends on your router, try their support options if
you need help there...).

My external website does use the same IP as my external exchange address.
When the request comes in to the router it fowards it to the specific port
