Hi,

1. I'm running IIS 5.1 on Windows XP.

2. Install default page of IIS Getting Started works fine from "localhost"
in URL.

3. I then changed the Home Directory in IIS Manager to my .aspx app folder ,
which is a folder beneath wwwroot.

3. However, now typing "localhost" URL brings up my Default.aspx BUT as
plain text HTML!

4. I have this same .aspx application installed on two Win2003 Server/ IIS
6.0 development computers and and it works fine.

5. NetFramework 1.1 is installed on this XP computer, but Visual Studio is
not.

Any help would be appreciated. This must be something simple.

Thanks.

Alan

Hi,

Click Start -> Run... and type "cmd.exe"
Type "cd \WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\<version>"
And then run "aspnet_regiis -i"

If it still doesn't work, in the same folder run "aspnet_regiis -c"
