Hi all, okay I'm having a real issue at the moment and even tho I've googled
for hours I can't find anything on this issue.

I hope someone here can help. Okay, I have a server running Windows Server
2003. A workstation running XP Pro. The network is running at 100mb.

Before this Issue:

I have a few websites plus sharepoint sites on the server and logging on to
them using the workstation I just put in the address bar
http://server_name:port

Now, a few days ago it all worked fine however, now it's taking AGES from
the point of pressing enter and the site to load. Even with small html
sites. Please remember, none of this browsing is outside, all on my local
LAN and using the lan is fine. Just web services.

If I enable anonymous access and untick IWA then the speed comes back, and
all pages load very fast.

So it has to do with Integrated Windows Authentication I guess, I have tried
logging on under new usernames on both the server and workstation but no joy
!

I have even removed IIS from the server and re-installed. Still the same, I'
m almost at the point of re-installing Windows XP Pro on the workstation and
Win2003 on the server but I thought I'd ask in here before I do.

Any ideas?

Have you looked in the Event Log for messages? Maybe it can tell you what is
wrong.

hi all and thanks for the help but I figured it out...

<client> internet properties/advanced/security/untick Enable IWA!!!

I think I clicked the 'restore defaults' button a while back for some reason
and this caused the issues... I'm VERY happy to say that it's all working
fine ... YAHOO !
