restoring default script mapping

| While attempting to add php to our IIS web server's
Default Web Site, I was presented this dialog after adding
the php application extension mapping:
"The following child nodes also define the value of
the 'Script Maps' property, which overrides the value you
have just set. Please select from the list below those
nodes which should use the new value"
I mistakenly elected to override all websites listed under
the "Default Web Server". Now users can only see the
directory index, the scripts won't load.
How do I restore the original properties?

| I never choose override all. Heck if you choose nothing to overide it =
works anyway. Or seems to. Go figure.=20
In IIS Manager look under your App Mappings. IIS Manager | right-click =
on the computer name | Master Properties Edit WWW Service | Home =
Directory | Configuration... | App Mappings. What do you have in here? =
Did you ever back up your Metabase when IIS was working? If so you can =
restore it.

and if not? i don't believe a backup was ever performed...
i'm new at this, and taking over for someone who recently
left the company. my primary experience is with NT4/2k4...
regardless I've always run apache :P

.... or is my only option to reinstall IIS? if so, what
steps do i take to get OWA working after the reinstall?
i'm not asking for a hand-holding session, but i'm a bit
intimidated now and don't want to make matters worse. so
if there are any gotchas, i'd like to be prepared.

| there are files in the backup, however they're all too
recent. i first applied the inheritance override on
friday, it's now sunday, and they all are timestamped with
today's date -- except for one, which is from mid-
january ...
i'm afraid that if i apply that backup, i may loose the
OWA configuration.
any help, please?

| Tell me what you have under App Mappings on the MachineName choose edit =
WWW Service. I'd be surprised if you lost all the App Mappimgs there.
