I am examining some IIS 5.0 logs, and have noticed that there are
entries with multiple ASPSESSIONIDs, as below:

ASPSESSIONIDQARBADQS=PDJKFICCEFEELBDLAGK
GOKPB;+ASPSESSIONIDCQTACAST=PDGPNKCCPGBN
EMOMKJJDKCDO

In this case, which session is IIS following? Any ideas as to what
caused the multple IDs?

Thanks

Are you using "Frame Sets"? This could cause multiple sessions, or the
visitor may have clicked on a link that opened a new window that was still
with-in your domain?

Not sure I understood correctly, but I´m not using frames. I do have
ocasional popup windows, but I just ran a test and a popup isn´t
adding a new session. Shift clicking on links to open up new windows
doesn´t change the value of the ASPSESSIONID, or append a new one,
like what I´ve been seeing in the logs.

I think that cross domain linking will just start a new session, and
not append another ASPSESSIONID.

I´m not getting any app errors.

Still stumped.

I've seen this, sometimes, from what I suspect are dodgy/misconfigured proxy
servers. They seem to send multiple session IDs (probably for each user
behind the server).

Cheers
