Help needed: IIS Out of process application
|
|
|
| Hello,
i need help from someone who has found a solution for this problem:
(Sorry for my english, i'm italian ;-))
Since we have installed our new Windows 2000 SP4 Server we are getting the
following errors on IIS 5.0:
Out of process application '/LM/W3SVC/xx/Root' terminated unexpectedly.
For additional information specific to this message please visit the
Microsoft Online Support site located at:
http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
This error comes out every 2-5 minutes in the Event Log, after a random time
all ASP pages stops working and sometimes IIS crashes.
I've read a lot of posts, i've resyncronised the IUSR and IWAM user,
installed the newest Windows Scripting, installed the newest MDAC. The
server is up to date and all patches were installed.
If ASP hangs, i'm getting the following error:
Error: Script Engine Exception. A ScriptEngine threw expection 'C0000005' in
'IActiveScript::Close()' from 'CActiveScriptEngine::FinalRelease()'..
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
Many thanks to all who replies to my question.
Here is a little bit of my IISState Log:

Is this the only app in IIS? It looks like an ASP coding problem. Look
at the code first. Or, it could be other apps bad code causing the
error. Search google for the C0000005 error. There are a number of
results. Try and tie them in with your problem.

| Hello,
thank you for your reply!
This are the first thinks i've tried. I'm sure this is not an ASP coding
problem, because on the old server everything worked fine. The applications
are the same as the old server, nothing new...
Our IIS is configured with something about 470 WebSites, all ASP pages
worked fine on the old Server. We have imported the metabase from the old
server to the new one with the IISExport tool.
We use only 3 system external Dlls objects for our ASP pages, i've also
tried to unregister and re-register new downloaded Dlls again they are
working without any problem.
bye
