I currently have a old Windows 2000 server that hosts a couple websites.

I have a new server that I would like to move all these sites to. The
new server is running windows 2003. Is there an easy way to this?

Thanks

You have a couple of options:

You can manually re-create the web sites and configure them to use
application pools or you can use the Microsoft IIS 6 Migration Wizard to
help you with the migration.

Upgrading an IIS Server to IIS 6.0 (IIS 6.0)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pr...6db06167e5.mspx

Internet Information Services 6.0 Migration Tool

21 IIS 6 Pre-Post Installation Tasks

If your web site sends email using CDONTS.NEWMAIL Com object you will find
that it does not exist on Windows 2003 Server. You can copy from a Windows
XP machine and then do a regsvr32 cdonts.dll to register this on the new
server. It exists in the \Windows\System32 folder.

Microsoft would suggest you re-write your email code to use CDO but that is
not always possible or desirable.

Hi Mike,

Welcome to Microsoft newsgroup!

First thanks for Chris share his knowledge about how to migrate to IIS 6.
Based on my experience, you can use the migration tool to complete current
task. The migration tool supports the front page server extension. You can
download the tool from below link:

If you have something unclear, please feel you free to let me know. I'm
glad to be of the future assistance.
