| Hi everyone,
I have IIS installed but when I go to right click my computer name, nothing
comes up. I would like to create some virtual directories but I can't
because of the balnk menu.
Can anyone help? I am running windows media edition 05.
Thanks!
Gerry

| Go to Start --> All Programs --> Administrative Tools --> Internet
Services Manager
If you don't see it, you'll have to add it through Add/Remove Windows
Components.

| Thanks for the reply. I have already tried that. When the computer name come
sup, I click on the plus sign to extend it and nothing extends. That is the
problem that I am having.
Thanks
Gerry

| Looks like bad installation... try to reinstall again.
a) uninstall IIS (safe or normal mode)
b) Remove files and folders
%windir%/system32/inetsvr/
/inetpub/
%windir%/iisx.log (x=5 for w2k, 6 for XP, Win03)
(use safe mode to delete)
c) reboot, reinstall IIS, repatch machines
After that try open IIS MMC again, same thing?
if yes, anything in event log? and try to find the error entries in iis6.log
