IUSR_Machinename not created windows 2003 dc,
|
|
|
| Hello, After the promotion to windows 2003 dc the users IUSR and
IWAM_machinename where removed, because a dc does not use locally based
users, ofcourse. But now the IUSR and IWAM users have been removed. I addes
these accounts manually but IIS is not happy with this. Is there a workaround
to add these users back to this server? The WSUS works with these accounts
and therefore I think it is necessay to get this working.
Thank you Paul

| You need to set the password at the metabase also. See
https://premier.microsoft.com/defau...bEN-US%3b297989 to get
more information.

| It looks a little bit of my problem. I created manually these accounts ans
set a password on it. Same did I do in ISS. But after restorting IISADMIN the
server respons with an event 104 "service failed to create account
IWAM_machinename."
Before de domaincontroller promotions these account where there and stored
locally. After the promotion these account where somehow removed. Does this
description help anyone further so there is an solution?

| A domain controller does not have any local accounts, and that is why the
accounts were removed.
You need to use domain accounts.

| OK I know, see the other messages. I created manually IWAM_machinename and
IUSR_machinename, which are domain user accounts. Paul
