IIS 6 does not recognise Japanese filenames

| Hi,
I have a IIS6/Win2003 based webserver set to use US English. Users from
Japan store files on this server in their language. These files are
accessible through the UNC share, but are not accessible through the
HTTP path. The hyperlink properties show these files as boxes. Besides
I do not see a 404 error.
I read that IIS6 fully supports foreign languages. Could someone help
me understand why this is being shown as boxes and how I can fix this.
Thank You in Advance.

| If you do not see a 404 error, then more than likely, IIS6 has done its job
correctly.
The problem is most likely with your client's ability to display characters
not in its native character set, and that is something you need to take care
of. Make sure to actually have the fonts of the right character set as well
as content-encoding clues to the client to decipher and use the right
character set.
