Hi everybody!
I manage some IIS servers (5.0 fnd 6.0) and about 10 WWW-sites on each
works. How about anonymous users (like IUSR_*) for each site?
Which practice is the best? Use one user (iusr_*) for all site at the IIS or
create certain user for each WWW-site?

Thanks for your attention!

It certainly is not necessary to create unique IUSRs for each site. As a
practice I create a unique IUSR for each site.... I feel it is easier to
organize this way. I then create a group called ALLIUSRS and make each IUSR
a member of that group. This way if there is a DLL that needs modify
permissions for the IUSR I can give the group modify permissions.

Thanks for your reply! But some more questions...

When you create unique IUSR how long password did you set to this user? Like
IUSR has (very long) or ordinary pass: something about 7-10
letters&numbers&symbols? Do you periodically change these passwords?

About groups.... After I install IIS LockDownTools, the installation process
creates two groups in system: "_Web Anonymous Users" and "_Web
Applications", then I prefer operate whith them.
