Dear Sir,

I have bought new PC Windows XP Pro SP2. I was trying to install IIS 5.1
through control panel. While installation when the set up configuring SMTP it
hanged. And I uninstall IIS and again installed IIS without SMTP. The
installation finished successfully.

But when I open the default page in the localhost, I got the message "The
Page Can bot be displayed".

I thought of restarting the IIS, when I was trying to do so through the
services, I got error message "Could not stop the IIS Admin service on local
computer". Error1053: The service did not respond to the start or control
request in a timely fashion".

Kindly help me solve the problem.

Thank you.

Can you stop and restart the IIS services from the command prompt by typing
"IISRESET"? If not, I think you need to uninstall IIS , reboot, and then
reinstall again.

Thank you,
