IIS FTP Server - FTP Startup problems

When I go into IIS I'm having trouble starting up the FTP
service. When ever I do, it will say that it couldn't
start in aduquet(spelling) time.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be apreciated.

Go to command prompt, enter
'net start msftpsvc'

what's the reply ? also check event log for more clues.
next, do you have any other ftp program running ?

smtp and http working ?

what's your OS ?
