Author Can I access an FTP site just to see the document using IE6?

I am using WS_FTP LE.

I wanted to store a Word document online so if my house burned down and the
printout was destroyed, the document would still be okay and downloadable. A
friend set up an FTP site (5 Meg) he got free for signing up with Earthlink
so I could upload the document. It works fine.

What I'd like to do now is use IE6 to go to that site and see if I can read
the document. I'd like to give others the website address so they can log on
and go read it, too.
Is this possible? What address should I use?

FTP data:

Profile Name: BetaProject
Host Name/Address: ftp-www.earthlink.net
Host Type: Automatic detect
User ID: campbell36
Password: xxxxx

Thanks,
Steve
