news not imported but transported via FTP

| Hi,
a press agency delievers new to my customer via FTP every hour.
The IIS-FTP gives access to their IP and the news are reveived. That works
fine. Now my VB-tool should take the transfered news and import them into a
Content Management Software. That works only if
- I am logged on at the server
- paste the same news via FTP at the same place like DPA, the agency, does
to summarize:
1)DPA transfers news via FTP successfully to the server --> no import into
CMS
2) I take the same news and transport them via FTP with same user-account
like DPA --> works fine
I see no difference between 1 and 2
any ideas appreciated!

| Don't get you.
a) is the ftp file transfer works ?
e.g. file is transferred correctly and etc ?
if yes, and the other part of you app not working, you might want to try
more relevant newsgroups.--
if ftp transfer not working, what's the error msgs ?
status code ? setup info ?
