I'm having a problem re-installing the IIS FTP service. When I attempt to
do so via the (control panel > add/remove programs > add remove windows
components) Windows searches for a file called "IIS_ftpctrs.h". I insert
the CD as well as point to a network location with the Windows 2000 server
install files but for some reason they cannot be found in either location.
What gives?

Thanks. I was able to extract the file manually from the CAB file. I
thought that normally Windows would be able to get into one of these files
on it's own but I guess not in this case. Any ideas why Windows couldn't
open it on it's own?

: The file is located at IIS5_01.CAB of W2k /i386 folder. verify the file is
: that. or try this one I extracted.

It should related to windows can't read the file.
could be media or etc.. not sure..

but you can always copy the i386 to local disk and
point it to the path...

so you can install ftp component now ?

Yes, I used WinRAR to manually extract the ftp file I needed. There must be
something wrong with that system then if it cannot see inside the .cab file.
