Ok, I'm a bit confused.
I have a Win2003 Server with IIS installed, with the HTTP and FTP services
installed.
I have a single IP address and three different websites working on it
without problems.

Now, I want to reach those results, but I'm a bit unaware of how to do it:
1) I want to reach via FTP the websites folder.
For example, I have registered two domains on the same IP:
www.studioarea.com
cmagazine.dnip.net

Those two web sites are located in two totally different directory, and I
want to be able to ftp into them for doing maintenance without having to
access the Server directly. I'd like to be able to do
ftp www.studioarea.com
and
ftp cmagazine.dnip.net

But, If I try this, it doesn't work.

2) I want to be able to have multiple ftp sites running on the same IP on
the same port, exactly as for web sites.
I mean, I should be able to run multiple ftp sites without each one needing
a differente IP, right? Or am I wrong?
Ok, the help says that it's one FTP for each IP:Port, but...why?

Moreover, I've tried configuring one FTP site and found that if I try to ftp
anyone of the three sites I reach always the same directory...

Help!! :-)

You need to configure FTP correctly:

HOW TO: Set Up an FTP Server in Windows Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;323384

You also need to provide the proper information in your DNS if you're
using a host name that doesn't already resolve to the system. For
your two domains, use two separate user accounts and a virtual folder
for each pointing to the site contents.

No can do. Separate ports or separate IP's. Though you don't really
want multiple FTP servers, you want multiple users on the one.

You're wrong.

>Ok, the help says that it's one FTP for each IP:Port, but...why?

Because that's the way it is.

Two services can't listen on the same IP/Port combination since
there's no other way to tell them apart. Suppose two guys named Bob
shared the same phone number, and you called them. You ask for Bob,
he says "I'm Bob" but you really want the other Bob.

Ok, I'm solving it. I was in the wrong direction...

However, I need a bit more of help. I must have messed up too much with
directory permissions... :-D
Do somebody can list me the default permissions for the InetPub, wwwroot and
ftproot?

Thx in advance :-)
